Xinfei Electric Denied Stake Sale Rumor
BEIJING, Nov 20, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX News Network) --
Singapore-based Hong Leong Group was said to sell its approximate 90% stake in Henan Xinfei Electric Co., Ltd. at a price of more than USD 700 million.
The rumored potential buyers included Panasonic, Electrolux, Haier, Konka, as well as TCL. However, Haier denied the rumor. Xinfei Electric also denied the saying yesterday, explaining that Hong Leong Asia Ltd., a subsidiary of Hong Leong Group, did not receive any suggestion about the sale of the holdings.
